She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Birkel and Norma Birkel; her grandparents, Ruth and Glen Harbors; and her brother Jack Birkel (Lori).
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Rupp (Jeff), Keri O'Connor (Pat), Kristen Hubbuch (Heath) and Kandi Pedraza (Vanessa); her grandchildren, Abbie Tinnon, Bailey O'Connor, Cody Rupp, Jordan Rupp, Zach O'Connor, Logan Pedraza, Alex Rupp and Mason Pedraza; her great grandchildren, Oaklynn Pedraza and Myloh O'Connor; and her siblings, Jeri Holbrook (Tommy) and Jeff Birkel (Susan).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St John Lutheran Cemetery (6614 W Smithville Rd, Peoria, IL 61607). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Cemetery to help ensure a beautiful and peaceful resting place for all to enjoy.
