Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Robert leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddard Simmons and Orabell Simmons (Ingram); and his wife Waltraud "Wally" E. Schroeckhaas. He is survived by: his children, Carol Paul of Washington and David Simmons of Schaumburg; and his granddaughters, Nicole Colyar of Washington and Megan Pohlson (Mike) of Washington. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel (1203 W Garfield Ave, Bartonville, IL 61607). A memorial service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
