We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2023, at the age of 81, Ronald W. Hertz (Bartonville, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Sr. Hertz and Ilene Hertz (Robertson). He is survived by : his wife Fern Hertz (Allen); his daughters, Teri Finley (Evan) and Toni Hertz; and his siblings, JoAnn Willet (Paul), Tom Jr. and Chuck Hertz (Sue). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Faith Missionary Church or to Peoria Rescue Ministries.

“Dear Fern, Teri, Toni and family. We are very sad to hear of Ron’s passing. We always enjoyed our visits with your family and will always remember the good times we had. I first met Ron 60 years ago when we served together in the U.S. Navy aboard the same ship in Norfolk, VA. It developed into a long-lasting friendship. Ron was a great person and family man. He will be sadly missed. We love all of you! John, Lori, Steven and David O’Neill.”
