He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie George and Pauline Ruth Bruns (Leerhoff); his daughter Mary Lou; and his brother Paul Bruns. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Lynn Bashor of Basco; his sons, Rick Bruns (Patti) of Camp Point and Rod Bruns (Chrissy Lewis) of Carthage; his grandchildren, Danielle Sethaler (Kyle) and Kaylee Neastea (Vance); his great grandchildren, Kadence and Berkeley Sethaler; and his siblings, Keith Bruns (Connie) of Carthage and Betty Peters (John) of Payson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Printy Funeral Home (405 Cherry St, Carthage, IL 62321). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
