With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jean Samundsen (Batavia, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Campbell and Mabel Campbell; her husband Rev. Reynold Samundsen; and her siblings, Shirley Carter (John), Lula Hopping (David), Lindy Campbell (Wonda), Belva Cooper, Cleo Frakes (James) and Marilyn Swanson.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Michael (Eric) and Paul Samundsen; her grandchildren, Adam Michael, Emily Aleksandrovich (George), Aaron Michael, Patrick, Andrew and Michael Samundsen; and her sister-in-law Doris Pester (John). She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
