She was predeceased by: her parents, L. T. Fort, Sr. and Gertrude Shelton-Fort; her husband Willie, Sr.; her child Willie, Jr.; her siblings, Josephine, Bernice of Thomas, L. T., Pearline, Sam, Beulah and Mary; and her great grandchild Jeremy Matthews.
She is survived by: her sister Emma Jean Reid of Bronx, NY; her grandchildren, Donna, William, Allison, Ashanti, Heather and Sabrina; her cousins, Theresa Berkely (Everett), Mary Louise Boyd-Foy of Queens, NY and Sadie Burton; and her friend Mother Mary Jo Bonner of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Chapel Church of God (404 Lathem St, Batavia, IL 60510). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the River Hills Memorial Park (1650 S River St, Batavia, IL 60510).
