It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Jean Heck of Batavia, Illinois, born in Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Rivest and Roberta Rivest; her husband Paul Heck; and her stepchildren, Paul Heck, Jr. and Linda James.

She is survived by : her sons, Theodore Heck and Peter Heck (Tomi); her grandchildren, Jennifer Heck (Joe Vargas), Daniel Heck and Sabrina Heck (Stevens Merena); her great grandchildren, Heck-Merena, VI, Quinn, Abram, Olivette and Judah Vargas; and her brothers, George Rivest (Marion) and David Rivest (Bonnie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
