He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Samundsen and Violet Samundsen; his brother Gordon Samundsen; his sister-in-law Verlyn Samundsen; and his nephew Leon Bartier.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Ruth Michael (Eric) and Paul Samundsen; his grandchildren, Adam Michael, Emily Aleksandrovich (George), Aaron Michael, Patrick, Andrew and Michael Samundsen; his sister Doris Pester (John); and his nephew Lyle Bartier. He is also survived by cousins and great cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moss Family Funeral Home - Batavia (209 S Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL 60510). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Holmstad (700 W Fabyan Pkwy, Batavia, IL 60510).
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be directed to Covenant Living at the Holmstad.
