He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Nelson and Ethel Nelson (Lindgren); his wife Rhonda Nelson; his sisters, Donna Almerico (Jay), Mary Hays (Ed) and Martha Nelson (Al); and his sister-in-law Linda Crouch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Szyperski (Mike) and Brooke Haug (Curtiss); his grandchildren, Jacob Haug (Kristen Skala), Lucas Haug (Erin McCarty), Grace Haug (Conner Paulson) and Charlie Szyperski; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Skala and Elijah Haug. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
