She is survived by: her children, Tom Opeka (Sharon), Peggie Opeka, Mary Beth Metcalf (Jack) and Steve Opeka (Princess); and her grandchildren, Cassandra Deavers (Dave), Diane Wilson (Mark), Sandy Czernik (Brad), Kathy Held, Michelle Blakely (Carl), Tony Metcalf (Dinora), Ben Metcalf (Monica Franz), Rolando Pulido (Dawn) and Matthew Pulido (Amanda). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (901 14th St, North Chicago, IL 60064). A burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Ascension Cemetery (1920 Buckley Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030).
