He was predeceased by: his parents, Teresa Miks and John Miks; his sons, Kevin and Keith; his brothers, Stephen, Dr. George and John; his former wives, Vivienne and Barbara; his stepson Vaughan Chattman; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Daniel Feiner, Joe Knuckles, Clayton Bogan, Elizabeth Smith, Jacqueline Knuckles, Beverly Bogan and Debra Taylor; his close friend Doug Cavallari; and his in-laws, Charlotte and William Herron.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Herron-Mitchell Jones; his daughter Jennifer Lucas (Eric); his sister Dr. Veronica Miks; his stepdaughters, Angela Zekucia (Patrick) and Darlene Chattman (Marshon); his daughter-in-law April Chattman; his stepson Michael Mitchell; his grandchildren, Lindsey (Peter), Dillon, Hunter (Samantha), Haley (Tristan) and Brody; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas, Veronica, Kevin, Michael, Delvin, Shanira, Kelley, Angel, Antionette and Vaughan Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Rosemary, Geraldine Miks, Kathy, MaryAnn, Yvonne, LaVonne, Sheila Herron, William, Albert Herron and George Taylor; and his close friends, Bernice Adams and Khi'Ammi. He is also survived by children, step-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
