Damon Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 20, 2026, at the age of 79, Damon Smith of Beardstown, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Damon is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Damon's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Smith and Marie Wooderchak Smith; and his brothers, David and James. He is survived by: his wife Betty Fishburn; his sons, Chris Smith (Amy) and Craig Smith (Carla); and his nephew Stewart Smith. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
