With sadness, we share the passing of Mary Ellen Tyson of Beardstown, Illinois. Mary Ellen, born on February 1, 1934, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William M. Toland and Velma C. Dodds Toland; her husband Harold Eugene Tyson; and her sisters, Patricia Brockschmidt and Sandra Roegge.
She is survived by: her children, Stan of New Berlin, Illinois, Kathy Dolezal (Mike) of Chester, Idaho, Scott (Jeanne) of Inkom, Idaho and Karin (Angela) of Belleville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jacob Dolezal, Benjamin Dolezal, Kaitlyn Dolezal, Megan Tyson and Madison Tyson; her great grandchild Kaysen Dolezal; her cousin Marcella Smith; and her close friends, Nancee Rebman and Ann Brewer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Colwell Memorial (515 S State St, Beardstown, IL 62618).
