He was predeceased by: his mother Marsha Kay Spoon Brooks; and his son Miles David Brooks. He is survived by: his father Merle Brooks; his wife Teresa Spencer; his children, Layne Brooks (Tiffany) of Meredosia, Logan Brooks (Emma) of Bushnell and Trey Brooks of Godfrey; his grandchildren, Jaxson Dawson, Steven Self, Ryker Brooks and Ariel Brooks; and his brothers, Matt M. Brooks (Marcy) of Astoria and Dennis Michael Reiley, Jr. (Vickie) of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Colwell Memorial (515 S State St, Beardstown, IL 62618). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Miles Brooks's grandchildren or the American Stroke Foundation.
