He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Cooper (Lovekamp) and Rolland Cooper; and his brother Michael Cooper. He is survived by: his children, Eric Cooper of Beardstown and Abby Cooper of Beardstown; his siblings, Diana Lowe, Linda Kirchner (Bill) and Brian Cooper (Billie Jo); and his wife Kay Cummings. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Colwell Memorial (515 S State St, Beardstown, IL 62618). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (301 W 4th St, Beardstown, IL 62618).
