He is survived by : his son Herman Frederich (Anna Dorothea Lovekamp Kleinschmidt); his wife Bernita; his son Kevin Kleinschmidt (Theresa) of Arenzville; his grandchildren, Ken, David Kleinschmidt, Paula (James) and Hutchison; his daughter Tamara "Tammy" Baptist (Bill) of Athens; his grandsons, Richard and Joseph Baptist; his son Gale Kleinschmidt (Sherry) of Arenzville; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Rusty), Menge, Kyle (Terra) and Turner; his son Brian Kleinschmidt (Lanette) of Arenzville; his grandchildren, Adam and Anna Kleinschmidt; his daughter Nancy Barnett (Stephen) of Good Hope; his grandsons, Philip Barnett (Daniela Salazar), Jacob Barnett and Zachary Barnett; and his siblings, Wilbur Kleinschmidt (Beverly) of Wisconsin and Shirley Treadway (Ed) of Texas.
