We bid farewell to Edwin B. Albers of Beckemeyer, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 7, 2025 at the age of 92. Edwin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albers and Marie Albers; his wife Genevieve Albers; his daughter Leah Albers; his great grandchild Kirsten Norris; his siblings, Gregory "Doo" Albers, Rosie Kohrmann (Joseph "Fireball"), Virgil and Aloysius "Ollie" Albers; his parents-in-law, Herman and Mary Taphorn; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Winter, Joseph Taphorn (Ann), Leo Taphorn (Laurene) and Andrew Taphorn.
He is survived by: his children, Stanley Albers (Lavonne) of Beckemeyer, Julie Mollet (Brian) of Port Orchard, WA, Doug Albers (Stacey) of Beckemeyer and Kay Koehler of Beckemeyer; his grandchildren, Rachele Grayling (Roy), Adam Albers (Jackie), Hollie Norris, Lesley Mollet (Josh), Adrienne Thurber (Alex), Matthew Mollet, Ashley Wiegmann (Travis), Justin Albers (Stephanie), Katrina Haar (Josh) and Nathan Koehler (Megan); and his sister Marie "Mert" Winter of Germantown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (451 W 3rd St, Beckemeyer, IL 62219). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Anthony Parish and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
