It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell D. Stoneburner of Beecher City, Illinois, who passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Stoneburner and Edith Stoneburner (Witt); his brother Franklin; his sister-in-law Jo Ann; and his nephew Josh Stoneburner.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Jean Smith; his sons, Mark (Margie) and Darin Stoneburner (Donna); his grandchildren, Brad, Kelly and Dustin; his great grandchildren, Harper, Oaklyn, Kaisen, Kinsley, Aubrey and Henry; his brothers, Larry Stoneburner of Beecher City, Allen Stoneburner of Effingham and David Stoneburner of Iowa; his niece Alice Stewart; and his pet Dixie.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, Springhill Church or Springhill Cemetery Fund.
