He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith and Daniel; and his daughter Beverly. He is survived by: his wife LuIna; his children, Priscilla McKerracher (Mike Koenig), Linda Cooper (John Cooper) and Jon McKerracher; and his brother Ralph. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In honor of Alvin and his faith, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, Illinois.
