He was predeceased by: his siblings, Norbert, Vincent, Edward, Marcel, Joseph, Cletus Gass, Marie Braun, Catherine Garey and Dolores Conklin.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma J.; his children, Peter Gass (Laura), Paul Gass (Barbara), William Gass (Shari), Robert Gass (Cheryl), Jeff Gass (Toni) and Libby Gass Handel (Matt); and his sisters, Juanita Wallen and Bernice Spresser. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to St. Teresa Catholic Church or to "FIRST" (Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types).
