He was predeceased by: his father Joseph V. Svec, Sr.; and his nephew Adam Svec. He is survived by: his mother Eileen I.; his son Aidden; his fiancée Mary M. Bunse; his stepchildren, Cadance and Skylar; his brothers, Joseph Svec (Mary) and Victor Svec (Diana); his nieces and nephews, Ashley McCune (Nick), Brittany Pierson (Daryl), Stephanie Mueller (Theo), Brandon Svec (Brooke), Angela Graves (Joseph) and Ryan Svec; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Katelyn, Carter, Kylie McCune, Andrew, Everly Mueller, Ayla Graves, Isaac, Isabella, Elijah Pierson, Liam, Lucas, Logan, Levi and Ellianna Svec.

Memorials may be made to St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
