With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Edwards (Belleville, Illinois), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald L. "Duke" Edwards; her son-in-law Michael Weidemann; her parents, J. B. (Esther) and Barber; and her sister Marcella "Marcie" Uhl (George).
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Weidemann of Lenzburg, IL and Ronald K. Edwards (Jeannie) of Belleville, IL; her grandsons, Michael C. Weidemann (Jessica), John E. Weidemann (Misty), Jason G. Weidemann (Amy) and William Seel; her great grandchildren, Ben Weidemann, Megan Weidemann, Genna Weidemann, Gracie Weidemann, Cadie Weidemann (Scott), Hallie Crawford, Hattie Vinyard and Kaylee Jeremias; and her nephews, Skip Uhl (Nancy) and Jeff Uhl (Linda).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union United Methodist Church (721 E Main St, Belleville, IL 62220). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
