It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beulah Merrell (Belleville, Illinois), who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Coleman and Bertha Coleman (Tullock). She is survived by: her children, Sue Merrell of Grand Rapids, MI, Tom Merrell (Dee) of Spring, TX, Bruce Merrell (Janet) of Walnut Hill, IL and John Merrell (Kelly) of St. Charles, MO.; her grandchildren, Ryan Wallace of Grand Rapids, MI, Luke Merrell (Poppy) of Arlington, VA, Shelby Merrell of Belleville and Lauren Edwards (Dalton) of Troy; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Haylie Hurst and Kyler Zaring.
For many years she packed dozens of shoe boxes every Christmas to donate to children around the world through Samaritan's Purse. Even in her final years she sorted through mountains of donation requests each day, favoring hungry children and hurting animals.
