Carolyn Townsend Obituary

Carolyn A. Townsend, nee Gentry, 65, of Belleville, IL, born February 5, 1956, in East St. Louis, IL, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Elizabeth, nee Sowder, Gentry; a son, Michael Townsend; and a daughter, Jennifer Townsend, in infancy. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Timothy Townsend; two sons, Gary Townsend of Nevada, and Brian Townsend of Belleville, IL; and two grandchildren, Madalynn and Brian Jr. Townsend.

Private burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
