He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert A.; and his brother Frank Blaes. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Donna Donahue, Yvonne Tillyer (Gary) and Daniel Blaes (Debbie); his grandchildren, Shawn Donahue (Rowena), Amie Pulizzano (Nicholas), Cate Blaes, Collin Blaes, Jessica Phillips (Brandon) and Gabrielle Peck (Austin); and his siblings, Marvin Blaes (Barbara), Fred Blaes (Betty), Ronald Blaes (Sis) and Carolyn Ann Hinson (Charles). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, or to the St. Augustine Food Pantry, Belleville, IL.
