He was predeceased by: his daughters, Emery G. and Eva Iola Hawkins (Hill); and his brothers, Leigh, Grant, Rufus and Glen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elaine Fleenor of Geff, IL; his children, Lisa Ewing (Tom) of Mahomet, IL, Kent Hawkins (Kim) of Vero Beach, FL and Gina Harlan (Gene); his grandchildren, Mandy Fusselman (Aaron), Knox Ewing, Jonathan Hawkins (Sara), Kye Ewing (Jody), Kale Ewing (Alexandra), Mitchell Harlan (Katey), Fallon and Haley Harlan; his great grandchildren, Sadie, Lydia and Evie Fusselman Anne Hawkins; and his sisters, Violet Green and Pheba Smith (Harold) of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
