He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses S. Dinkins and Goldia Dinkins (Smith); and his siblings, Delois Dinkins, H. T. Dinkins, Faye Sellers and Geraldine Chaney.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Dinkins (Edwards); his children, Richard Dinkins (Danielle), Tammy Thouvenot (Tom Rogers) and Bobbi Jo Krieg (Tom); his grandchildren, Joshua Dinkins, Jared Thouvenot, Kelsey Beasley (Travis), Kirsten Thouvenot, Spencer Rogers, Taylor Rogers, Sydney Shryock-Krieg, Carter Krieg and Kailey Krieg; his great grandchildren, Olivia Thouvenot, Elijah Beasley and Emersyn Beasley; and his siblings, Joan Mertens and Wayne Dinkins (Joyce). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Green Mount Road Church of Christ (25 N Green Mt Rd, Belleville, IL 62221).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
