It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen O'Brien of Belleville, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel O'Brien and Marie O'Brien. She is survived by: her husband Gerry Wiegers; her children, Eric Wiegers and Traci Nowak (Greg); her grandsons, Jerry Nowak (Khayla) and Scott Nowak; her nieces, Beth Nester (Dave), Ellen Federer (Jim) and Anne Nisbet (Jim); and her sister Mary Ann Geppert. She is also survived by many loving great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Henry Catholic Church (5315 W Main St, Belleville, IL 62223). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made in the form of masses to St. Henry Catholic Church, or Saint Vincent dePaul Society.
