It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elverna Voelkel of Belleville, Illinois, born in Okawville, Illinois, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde L. Voelkel; her father William W. (Adele); her brothers, Norbert Bening and Wayne Bening; her sisters-in-law, Helen Voelkel and Carolyn Bening; her nephew David Bening; and her niece Susan Bening.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl A. Weidman (Michael) and Denise C. Voelkel; her granddaughters, Carly and Mari Weidman; her brother Dennis Bening; and her sister-in-law LaVerne Bening.
