It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fern E. Wolf of Belleville, Illinois, born in New Athens, Illinois, who passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William L. Stamm and Bertha C. Stamm (Muench); her husband Herschel H. Wolf; her sisters, Vera Hesse (late Siegel) and Norma Volner (late Ira); and her sons-in-law, Roger Rhein and Albert Winter.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Barr of Belleville, IL, JoAnn Rhein of Belleville, IL, Beth Winter of New Athens, IL and John Wolf (Karen) of Wentzville, MO. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, a member of the church women's guild and had been a member of the RSVP chorus.
