He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Frederick Bartelsmeyer (Manuela Keller-Bartelsmeyer), Jim Bartelsmeyer (Helen) and Karen Bartelsmeyer; his grandchildren, Amos, Tilman, Andrew, Alex (Rachel), Chris Bartelsmeyer (Megan) and Caroline Johnson (Nolan); his great grandchildren, Olivia and Ellery; and his brother Karl Bartelsmeyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL, or to the Belleville Community Interfaith Food Pantry.
