It is with sadness that the passing of Gary Ohlendorf of Belleville, Illinois is shared. Gary, born on February 5, 1944, passed away on October 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elzabeth "Betty" Ohlendorf; his father Cordell G. (Inez M.); his stepdaughter Carol Ann Sanders; and his stepdaughter-in-law Roseanne Sanders. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Vickie Sanders, Patty Jurkowski (Paul) and Michael Sanders; his grandchildren, Amber Lynn, Jason Jones (Dawn), Nathaniel Jurkowski, Katie, Lauren and Becca Sanders; and his brothers, Bob Ohlendorf (Barb), Dennis Ohlendorf (Pat) and David Ohlendorf. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (209 N Main St, Smithton, IL 62285). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice.
