Gladys May Knewitz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys May Knewitz in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred O. Haier and Esther Haier of Okawville; her granddaughter Jaclyn Knewitz (Jackie); and her siblings, Dean Haier, Martha Schuessler and Fred Haier (Fritz).

She is survived by: her husband John P. Knewitz; her children, John M. Knewitz (Arlene) of Burlington, Cindy Varnum (Ray) of Smithton and Jessica Jensky (Robert) of Carpentersville; and her grandchildren, Shannon Kowal, Ryan Jensky, Patrick Varnum, Andrea Patterson, Dan Knewitz and Scott Knewitz. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
