He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Zahrndt and Blanche Zahrndt (Castleberry); his son Richard Zahrndt; his wife Eva Zahrndt; his grandson David Zahrndt; and his siblings, Edward Zahrndt (Nellie), Norma Hanser (Milton), Emma Sadulski (Frank) and Stella Ruth Zahrndt.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Garvey of O'Fallon, MO; his daughter-in-law Dianne Zahrndt of Hodgenville, KY; his grandchildren, Michael Zahrndt (Suzanne), Jason Zahrndt (Robin), Susan Zorumski and Scott Zorumski (Ellen); his granddaughter-in-law Cristi Watts; and his great grandchildren, Lauren (Brock), John, Cooper, Jacob, Jordan, Jonas, Julie, Drew, Kei and Amelia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
