It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Schweiss (Belleville, Illinois), born in Perryville, Missouri, who passed away on May 6, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Arthur J. Schweiss; and her brothers, Cletus and Edwin Baudendistel. She is survived by : her children, Linda Abrahams (Ken) of Fairview Heights, IL, Patrick "Joe" Schweiss of Belleville, IL, Michael Schweiss (Pamela) of Belleville, IL, Mary Andich (Alan) of Belleville, IL, John Schweiss (Mary) of Belleville, IL, Paul Schweiss (Cindy) of Lake St, James Schweiss (Rebecca) of Belleville, IL and Lisa Zamfir (Costel) of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Steven Abrahams (Sheryl), Robert Abrahams (Lindsay), Gregory Abrahams (Loren), Dawn Williams (Rob), Michael Schweiss (Nicole), Christopher Schweiss (Kaitlin), Fraya Andich, Elliott Andich, Andrew Schweiss (Megan), Mark Schweiss (Danielle), David Schweiss, Timothy Rundel (Sarah), Laura Hesskamp, Hannah Schweiss (Sean), Helena Kate Imperiale (Anthony), Gabriela Hensley (Michael) and Constantine Zamfir; her sister Viola Lankford of Perryville, MO; and her sisters-in-law, Darlene Baudendistel of Perryville, MO and Betty Baudendistel of Waterloo, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.
