She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonzo Wellmaker and Helen Marie Wellmaker (Barker); her siblings, Norma Jean Sykes and Joel Wellmaker; and her husband George Mitchell Jr..
She is survived by: her brother James; her former spouse Cleo Hardin; her children, Dr La Fondria S. Pickett of Florissant, MO, Todd W. Pickett (Carlett) of Maryville, IL, Crystal N. Hardin of Collinsville, IL, Corey D. Hardin of Maryville, IL, Bryant E. Hardin of Collinsville, IL and Clinton L. Hardin of Lovejoy, IL; her siblings, Daisy Elmore of Glen Dale, AZ, Doris Watts of Hazel Crest, IL, Janet Kullum of Columbus, OH, Joanne Harvey (Calloway) of Jackson and Alfonzo Wellmaker; and her grandchild Thirty.
Because she loved the Lord Jacquelyn wanted to be a blessing to other people; therefore, she used her gift of crocheting to make beautiful wheelchair lap blankets and afghans which she donated to Hospice and also Nursing Homes.
