James Solomon III Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Solomon III (Belleville, Illinois), who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jr. Solomon and Katherine Foley Solomon; his sister Linda Given; his nephew Jim Ross; his niece DJ Ross; and his sister-in-law Margie Solomon.
He is survived by: his nieces, Rebecca and Kate; his children, Heather Murphy of Springfield, IL, Melanie Denton (Terry) of Belleville, IL and Jason Solomon of Orange Park, FL.; his grandchildren, John Hargis, Jr., Jenna Hargis, Brittany Hargis, Dylan Morris, Kage Macke, Rogan (Remi Geppert), Alyssa Lear, Rocco Solomon and Xavier Solomon; his great grandchild Jayla Hargis; his friend Carmen Callaway Henke of Roxana, IL; his siblings, Lee Evans of Vicksburg, MS, Patty Canizaro of Kansas City, MO, Kathy Gibson, Phyllis "Susie" Ross of Vicksburg, MS. and John Solomon of Liberty, MS; and also Jim Ross.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
