Janet Baechle Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Baechle of Belleville, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her aunts, Emma Dill and Ollie Keck; and her brother-in-law Wilbert Baechle. She is survived by: her husband David H. Baechle; her daughters, Michelle LaPorte (Ed), Beth Hanock (Josh), Jennifer Baechle (Dan Clobes) and Stephanie Baechle (Mitch Jones); her grandchildren, Hannah Vineyard (Andrew), Liam Vineyard (Sarah), Samuel LaPorte, Xavier LaPorte, Jackson LaPorte, Magnolia Clobes, Henry Jones, Violet Clobes, Hazel Jones and Archer Hanock; her great grandchildren, George Vineyard and Florence Vineyard; her brothers, Carl Austin (Yvonne) and Gary Austin (Pam); and her sister-in-law Sandy Baechle.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, the Siteman Cancer Center, or to the Swansea Moose Lodge #1221.
