He was predeceased by: his father Paul J.; and his brother Paul (Debbie Amann). He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sarkesian (Margie); his children, Margaret Wiegmann (Glenn), Angel Ackerman (Tom), Maria Jaster (Greg), John Amann (Amy) and Brian Amann (Trish); his grandchildren, Luke Ackerman, Claire Bammer (Kyle), Kate, Ava Jaster, Josh, Emma Amann, Jack, Drew, Nick and Grace Amann; and his brothers, Charlie (Mary), Richard (Barb) and Don.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church (200 W Harrison St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic School, Smithton, IL, or to Family Hospice.
