We bid farewell to John Andersen of Belleville, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 10, 2025 at the age of 77. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his son Christopher Adam Andersen; and his father Andrew (Hulda). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sue Andersen; his daughters, Anna Curnes (Chris) of Murfreesboro, TN and Jessie Nixon (Chris Lutes) of Ogden, UT; his grandchildren, Quinnten and Arianna Curnes; his sisters, Helene Kiefer (Tom) and Audrey Huber; his siblings-in-law, Rosalie Braeutigam, Jim Braeutigam (Gail), Shirley Braeutigam, Larry Huber and Tom Kiefer; and his pets, Apollo, Odysseus and Conan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL, for the music ministry and food pantry.
