He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. and Carol M.; and his brother Jon M. Steed. He is survived by: his children, Rachel Cole (Greg) of Belleville, IL and Aaron Steed (Victoria Mauch) of Millstadt, IL; his stepchildren, Tiffany Navel of Redding, CA and Josh Wells of Round Rock, TX; his grandchildren, James Cotton IV, Jaecob Cotton, Malyki Cole, Hayden Steed, Bailey Steed and Teagan Steed; his sister Denise Voss (Terry) of Shiloh, IL; and his close friend Homer Martz of Rockwell City, IA..
