She is survived by: her children, Mark Deffendall of Ohio, Robert Deffendall of Connecticut and Lynn Deffendall of Missouri; her grandchildren, Travis and Lauren Deffendall; her great grandchild Jude Nemeth; and her siblings, Kenneth Vernier, Janet Mueller, Lucille Fries (Irvin) and Margie Battaglia (Rich). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church or the Belleville Area Humane Society.
