With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy Blaes (Belleville, Illinois), born in Carlinville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 91. She is survived by: her husband Richard C. Blaes of Mary's Church; her children, Jean Heafner (Anthony), Barbara Blaes, Joan Jaeger (Patrick), Laurie Blaes, Richard Blaes (Bridget), Patricia Jasonowicz (Thomas) and Ann Radden (Scott); her grandchildren, Thomas Heafner (Brittany), Timothy Heafner (Whitney), James Heafner (Veronica), Megan Koss (William), John Heafner (Nicole), Brian Jaeger (Kelsey), Nicholas Blaes (Megan), John Jasonowicz, Alexis Madsen (Christian), Sarah Jasonowicz, Robert Radden (Kimberly), Margaret Blaes and Elinor Blaes; and her great grandchildren, Hudson, Penelope, Finley, Isabel, Lucille, Graham, August, Louis, Eleanor, Alvin Heafner, Lucy and Clare Koss.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield, IL as well as Hospice of Southern Illinois.
