The passing of Marilyn Carr of Belleville, Illinois, born in Coffeyville, Kansas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 27, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald "Jerry" Walter Carr; her parents, Robert A. and Bess L.; her brothers, Dale Patterson (Lorraine), Harold Patterson (Browna) and Frank Patterson (Donna); and her brother-in-law Morris Carr (Rodnee).
She is survived by: her children, Deborah McCauley (Kevin), Bruce Carr (Therese) and Lori Kindler (George); her grandchildren, Ryan McCauley (Andrea), Kyle McCauley (Hannah), George Kindler III (Liz) and Katherine Kindler; and her great grandchildren, David, Emily, Nathan Kindler, Adelyn and Cassidy McCauley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cahokia Mound Chapter NSDAR in Marilyn's honor, to directly benefit the DAR-sponsored schools that educate children in remote mountain areas.
