It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. Halvachs-Keeser of Belleville, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Robert Halvachs and Frank Keeser; her children, Robert Edward Halvachs, Mary and Carol Marie Halvachs; and her parents, Margaret Ax and Joe Ax.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul Halvachs (Melanie), Fred Halvachs (Yvonne) and Tom Halvachs (Valerie); her daughter-in-law Martha; her siblings, Ginny Mackey, Ray Ax (Sharon) and Rose Pappas II (James); her grandchildren, Robert Halvachs, Jr. (Betsy), Lisa Wade (Chris), Rebecca Riepshoff (Robert), Greg Halvachs (Anne), Mike Halvachs (Erin), Alex Halvachs (Emily), Karolyn Halvachs, Nicholas Halvachs (Brittany), Elizabeth Halvachs and Sonia Halvachs; her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jasper, Eli, Violet and Isaac Halvachs; her grandchildren, Tiffani Hadler (Josh), Jennifer Schultze, Amber Lawrence (Austin), Justin Swogger, Brandon Wade, Jake and Joseph Riepshoff; her great great grandchildren, Henry Hadler, Bowen Schultze, Ava Lawrence and Maisyn Halvachs; and her close friends, Kelli and Dina Rees. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
