She was predeceased by: her husband Jesus "Jesse" Vargas, Jr.; her mother Loretta; her siblings, Howard, Ronald Haas, Judith Hart and Jean Sluder; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Haas.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Lippert (Michael), Sandra Banard, Roger Vargas, Robert Vargas and Richard Vargas; her grandchildren, Claire Zimmerman, Grace Lippert, Brett Lippert, James Conder, Stephen Hurst, Lynsey Crone, Gabrielle Vargas and Jared Vargas; and her siblings, Larry Haas, Kenneth Haas and Cathy Haas Robinson-Morgan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220).
