He was predeceased by: his father Robert H.; and his brother Michael Eckert (Jean). He is survived by: his wife Rita M.; his children, Col. Matthew Eckert (Carly), Kate Kotler (Jacob), Luke Eckert (Erika), Lucy Eckert, German and Jan Schultze; his grandsons, Jackson, Noah, Patrick and Liam Eckert; his niece Beth Jacob (Scott); his nephew Brian Eckert (Kati); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Drew Eckert, Samantha Jacob and Cooper Eckert.
The Eckert family would like family and friends to keep in mind the Franklin Neighborhood Association and the District 118 Foundation were also so very dear to his heart.
