He was predeceased by: his stepfather J. B. Davis; his parents-in-law, Anthony F. Leveling and Ruth G. Leveling; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Scannell and Bob Leveling.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy A. Van Asch; his sons, Neil (Megan), Tommy (Marie), Greg and Steven (Abby); his grandchildren, Kailie, Ella, James and Ruthie; his parent Patricia Davis; his sister Debbie Merlenbach (Mike); his in-laws, Tony Leveling (Cheri), Barb Leveling and Susan Scannell; and his parent Greg Leveling (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
