With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Omi Sherman Wall (Belleville, Illinois), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Omi's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Omi's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. (Joyce) and Wall; and his siblings, Joyce Marco, Elizabeth Collinsworth and James Wall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of Our Lady of the Snows (442 S Demazenod Dr, Belleville, IL 62223). A Mass was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate would be greatly appreciated.
