We are sad to announce that, on January 1, 2025, at the age of 97, Raymond Obermeier of Belleville, Illinois, born in Venedy, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Raymond "Chuck" Obermeier; his father John (Ella); his siblings, Hulda Jacobs (Hugo), Bertha Randoll (Carl), Lou Randoll (Norman), John Obermeier (Kathryn) and Edward Obermeier (Darlene); his stepgrandson Troy Siade; his former wife Leola Etling; and his close friend Beverly Speedie.

He is survived by: his children, Vernon Obermeier (Mary) and Leonelda "Sue" Siade (Ralph); his grandchildren, Chris Obermeier and Lacey Horn (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Jared Obermeier, Spencer Obermeier and Hendrix Horn; his stepgrandchildren, Brent Sanders, Jeff Dickerson, Brooke and Andrew Surerus; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jayden Horn and Drew Horn; and his brothers, Roland Obermeier (Cele) and Leonard Obermeier (Lois). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
